Shower Question #5

"Hi, baby W., this is your mom calling in 1990something to tell you about some silly things I did as a kid. I'm sure my friends and family would like to share some stories too."
How about posting your favorite story about Lauren as a kid here!

  1. PS: Check out that awesome cell phone AND the disposable camera. Hello 90s!

  2. Lauren and I traveled to Europe together as teenagers, where we discovered the importance of good travel buddies (each other), the horrors of bad roommates, the necessity of packing enough socks AND that you should always read the labels of foreign candy, because sometimes they double as laxatives.

  3. And this one time, at theater camp, Rochelle met your mommy! Lauren was in a theater camp production of Little Shop of Horrors where they wanted to be fair and make sure everyone had a part, so the cast changed mid-show. Rochelle was in the audience and very confused but enjoyed Lauren's part. This was the first but not the last time that general confusion and delighted mayhem would mark their friendship.

  4. There was one time where we decided it would be a good idea to kidnap our friend Rob for his birthday and take him to a campground for dinner and s'mores. It involved him being blindfolded and in fuzzy handcuffs and getting strange looks in the middle of a Subway restaurant while we ordered subs. Then there was that trip to Krogers to buy a blue hippo sippy cup that devolved into us taking fake hippo sippy cup wedding photos in the garden aisle.

  5. There are too many stories! There was the time we played clarinet duets outside of Safeway, and my boyfriend walked around us wearing a gas mask... There was the time you came with me to high school and my physics teacher thought you were one of his regular students, and insisted on collecting your homework...or the time that your pop took us & Lizzy Dreessen to the Beach Boys concert! And we saw a limo and thought if we just saved our pennies, next summer we could take a limo to see the Beach Boys :)
